About
Hi, I'm Hayley...
I'm a BPS-registered Psychologist with 20+ years experience in SEN, and I am also a household regulator, myself!
My partner, Lewis, and I met at Mountview where we studied professional Acting and married soon after. For a while, life was wonderful.
We welcomed our gorgeous son in 2015 but I suffered severe Hyperemisis and post-natal depression.
Just as I'd recovered, my father was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and being his primary carer became a priority (and an honour), until he passed a year later in June 2019.
I'd suspected my son was neurodivergent early on, but professionals dismissed my concerns. Despite years of SEN tutoring experience, I doubted my own instincts - maybe my professional work had made me hyper-vigilant at home? When he started school in Sept 2019, the SENCo validated my original concerns, and our family's formal SEN journey began.
Soon after, Lewis developed Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) presenting, in his case, as severe daily non-epileptic seizures. He lost his ability to work almost instantly. We later learned that chronic stress from undiagnosed ADHD is sometimes considered the root cause of FND.

By this time, the new LA had forgotten we existed - for ten months (of course that wouldn't have happened if they'd answered my daily emails and messages!).
Then he had a catastrophic response to ADHD medication. He couldn't leave the house and couldn't leave my side - so I was trapped in my home, and the stress made Lewis' seizures worse. It seemed never-ending and inescapable.
In addition, we had no choice but to submit a Tribunal application to get a specialist placement. I was working every hour God sent, yet still just scraping by. I was beyond exhausted at the end of the day, on endless, fruitless, soul-destroying phone-calls in every nook and cranny I could shoehorn into my day and there was just no 'me' left. Family said I'd 'lost my sparkle' and it cut deep.
So it wasn't a complete surprise when he was diagnosed with ADHD in early 2026 and the relief for him was massive. He finally understood himself and began to rebuild his life.
At this time I felt totally consumed by my roles of mother, wife, breadwinner, advocate, PA etc - acting as a constant buffer for everyone else's needs. I was burnt out and felt I had nobody who understood what I was living.
To access more local support from family and to find the right school for our son, we moved from Bracknell to Tring in 2024.Â
Then, my mum's Parkinson's disease started to take a strong hold on her and a new advocating journey began - the Care journey.Â

Then a friend reminded me, "This won't last forever. Think where you might be in 5 years' time."
She was totally right. I'd been so stuck in survival mode, I couldn't see a way out.
So I harnessed my background in business and SEN education to organise the chaos, trust my instincts and open my eyes. Finally, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I started to really see what MY family needed and SELECTED what advice worked for us.
And now, I am dedicated to helping you find yourself again, too.
My journey continues, but I have discovered the methods to reclaim some of my own identity, and every day brings more peace. My marriage is stronger, my home is calmer, and my son is thriving. Life is never perfect, but now every day is vastly better than I thought possible and I am no longer drowning.
Whether you are supporting a partner with ADHD, raising neurodivergent kids, or you are possibly neurodivergent yourself, I am here to facilitate your recovery and growth. You are not alone in this. If any part of this resonates, please just pick up the phone.
Love and deep breaths!
 Hayley xx
